Ames Little League serves upwards of 300 Ames boys and girls every year. We have divisions for players ages 4 - 16. Beginners to the most experienced players all partake in that grandest of American past times - BASEBALL!! We are a volunteer organization run by our Board of Directors, coaches and parents.

Ames High Baseball Camps

Ames High will host its annual baseball camps the weekend of April 27-28. Players in grades 1-8 are welcome to attend.

Grades 1 and 2       
April 26              10 a.m. - Noon

Grades 3 - 5                
April 26 Noon - 2 p.m., April 27 Noon - 2 p.m.               

Grades 6 - 8
April 26 & 27      7 p.m. – 9 p.m. under the lights @ Brookside Park

Pitcher/Catcher Camp

Grades 2 - 8

April 27            2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Ames High Baseball Pitchers/Catchers Camp - Registration Form

Ames High baseball Booster club 2014 Youth Pitcher and Catcher Clinic

 Camp philosophy & Benefits- This camp will be designed to specifically work on the skills of pitching and catching.  Each player will work in the area of their choosing for the duration of the camp.  If both positions are desired, we can make arrangements to work on both skills.  The players will learn the correct fundamentals of pitching and catching that the Ames High Coaching staff works on with the High School players in practice.  This camp will be a great opportunity to improve and refresh the skills of pitching and catching before the Little League and USSSA seasons get underway. We will have our camp at the Ames High Baseball field @ BROOKSIDE PARK. Date – Sunday, April 27   The grades and Times are as follows;

                Grades 2 – 8 ; 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

                   Fee - $25.00 per player

Equipment - Players should wear comfortable athletic clothing and cleats.  They should also bring a glove and catchers equipment if interested in that portion of the camp.

**THIS CAMP WILL BE HELD AT BROOKSIDE PARK**

Camp Philosophy -   The Ames High baseball camp is designed for players at various ability levels to improve their baseball skills.  Our staff will teach and coach the basic skills of the game of baseball.  Our staff will encourage your player to work hard, hustle, display good sportsmanship, and have fun!  This will provide your player with a great opportunity to improve their game before the Little League and USSSA baseball seasons get into full Swing.  The camp will be held at AMES HIGH Baseball Field @ Brookside Park!  Equipment- Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing and cleats.  Players should also bring a glove and bat if possible. 

 Benefits - Along with tips to improve skills, your player will have the opportunity to get to know the Ames High baseball players and staff, receive a certificate, 2 game tickets to an Ames High Baseball game, and training advice to prepare you for your season.

**All camps will be held at Brookside Park

Ames Little League Baseball is a volunteer organization and as such, we rely on volunteer participation from many people. Our Objective

The objective of A.L.L.B shall be to implant in participants, through the activities of the league, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.

To achieve this objective, A.L.L.B will provide a supervised program of baseball games under the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, hereinafter referred to as L.L.B.I. Members of the Board of Directors, managers and coaches with A.L.L.B. shall bear in mind that stressing exceptional athletic skills or winning games is secondary, and that the type of leadership extended to participants is of prime importance.

This corporation is organized exclusively as a non-profit organization providing instruction and training in the game of baseball for children between the ages of five and sixteen years of age for educational purposes in accordance with Section 501 (c) (3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code.
